Savant St Croix
Located in the heart of downtown Christiansted, our daily specials and menu favorites focus on farm-to-table fresh produce from local farmers and wild-caught seafood from local fishermen. Our menu changes seasonally and we offer daily specials.
Our wine list features highly allocated labels you may not find anywhere else and we have two fully stocked bars with a list of craft cocktails.

Good food, but they charge for water and 20% gratuity
With an early reservation at 5:30

We were requested to move
So definitely not a place you want to risk
We left, highly frustrated and embarrassed with the treatment
Too cheez and other good level restaurants have way better staff and reservations
Do not expose yourself to this treatment
Don’t waste your money 💰 in a place that treat you like that

Extremely disappointed with the customer service. Arrived for an early dinner and once we were settled and ordered, the server wanted to switch our table to accommodate a larger group. I’m happy to spend our money somewhere else.

I knew it was a new chef! The food is amazing! We had the lobster spring roll and Wahoo over risotto, bokchoy with tostones! It was soooo good! Our waitress Briana is great as always, got our drinks and food fast.

How unpleasant must a service be for one to write a review while still seating at the restaurant?
We are here for a birthday dinner. The lady at the bar was very nice in greeting us and pointing to our table. But here goes our waitress, she approaches the birthday girl who unknown to her was dealing with motion sickness, and birthday girl requests a ginger ale as waitress approached the table to get chastised by her telling her in a very cold tone that she’s here to talk about the specials and will only take orders when she’s done. And it goes down hill from there.
Most suggestions are met with cold demeanor. Now let’s move to the food, the shrimp potstickers weren’t cooked yet (the dumpling wrapper is al dente and could have been steamed more) the egg rolls were average - didn’t taste fresh. We are honestly quite frightened for the remaining of our food. The sodas are flat.
Mid writing the review, the chef sent over a fresh shrimp pot stickers and since the waitress had “nicely” brushed us off we didn’t expect it nor want it but I did change the 1 star service review to 2.

The atmosphere was excellent. When you open the doors to go in it’s almost breathtaking. Very romantic. Would have liked complimentary bread and butter or bread with oil & vinegar. After delicious appetizer it was a 35 minute wait for our meal which was too long but was definitely worth the wait because food was superb.

I was with a group of 5. It took over an hour to get 2 appetizers and almost 1.5 hours for dinner. I ordered the filet with goat cheese and portabella mushroom. Disgusting! I asked for med rare but got well done. The filet was disgusting. It tasted like flank steak. We had to sit in a room that was outside but covered. It was so hot that I had to get up several times to get air. We were all sweating. This was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. The server, KJ was very nice and apologetic. He said he would comp the dessert but after 2 hours I wanted out of there. I am currently sitting in an air conditioned car waiting for the rest of my friends to exit.

Everything was amazing! KJ, our server, was very attentive and professional. The food was phenomenal, from drink to appetizers to entrees. We had NO room for dessert and even took home leftovers! We live here and enjoy Savant!

The atmosphere is great. The rear courtyard is beautiful, a bit crowded but we asked to be moved inside and the personnel was really kind and helpful. The food was good but we waited a bit too much, maybe cause it was so crowded. Overall great ambiance to have a date.

Ate at Savant both nights that I was in St. Croix. Had the pork chop the first night and the mahi special the second—both were fantastic. Ate inside the first night and outside the second, both settings are cool with interesting decor and service was excellent. Definitely recommend!

This place has THE best service and food on the island, IMO. The restaurant and bar manager have their sh#* together. I suggest the Lazy Lobster, the grilled calamari & and the crab egg rolls. Great experience. 👍

Fabulous dinner at Savant. We sat inside and would love to try the garden next time. Bartender and wait staff were great. Food was wonderful. We had the lobster eggroll, Mahi special and Tuna special - all very good!

Friends of my wife and I invited us to dine at Savant the other night. We had never been there before, so we said yes to try it out. We had heard that it very fancy and good food. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it sure does make for it on the inside (don't judge a book by its cover).
When walking through the entrance (the entrance is in the back by the way), my eyes were drawn to the ceiling right away due to the fact that there is no ceiling. The ceiling is made up of a large white heavy duty fabric tarp, stretched very tightly from a ruins stone wall over to another sculpted wall. A large sit at bar is on the left and a small open area for the dining tables (about 11 or 12 total). The sculpted wall has love seat areas that are molded right out of the wall for seating on the other side of the tables there. The wait staff were great and attentive.
I had the Bacon wrapped Pork Chops and my wife had a linguini dish. The food was very good and pleasantly arranged for a beautiful presentation on the dish (FANCY).
I highly reccomend a chilled shot of Patron for an after dinner drink (fyi, it is HUGE and well worth it).
Parking is located in the back where the entrance is, just on the other side of the marine boat shop.

WOW! Wish i could give this place a million stars. The service was incredible, every single person was so friendly. The environment was one of a kind and the structure was just breathe taking. Chad was phenomenal and so friendly, could not have asked for a better waiter. Wish I was here longer I would come back again, and again. Loved this place and would totally recommend. (Pictures are of the lobster special, and the duck which is on the menu annually).

WOW! Picture perfect AND great hospitality! The food exceeded any expectations, especially as vegans. I was impressed that our server was also vegan and could help with the menu. I celebrated my birthday here and thought it rained a lot on the inside it felt like an underwater treasure. This place is truly a beautiful gem. 5 star from me a highly detailed picky foodie where aesthetics and service matter. All the staff were kind genuine and thoughtful!

If you’re looking for something a little classier than the typical island casual scene, this is the place to go! Fantastic food, from the chargrilled calamari to the mahi, and ending with key lime pie! This is special occasion worthy. Food was excellent, staff was awesome, and ambience was really nice. Would definitely repeat.

If you are looking for ambience, this place is perfect. It is romantic and exotic. The staff are professional and attentive. I ordered the curry bowl and returned. Not because it was nasty but it was just had too sweet flavor for my liking. I wish i could rate my salad separately because it was DELICIOUS. I really wanted to order another one. My husband had the filet mignon and found it tough and just tasted like beef, not seasoned.
Due to the price point, I wouldnt recommend this place because neither of us liked our entrees. For drinks and appetizers, I think this place is fine.

Cute little place. Food was good! Great presentation. You need reservations and have two locations either the back patio covered with tarps or the smallish rustic dining room in the front. (The two are not connected) No substitutions I discovered when I asked for steamed spinach or broccolini instead of asparagus. Asparagus was good, but the other two choices being used in other dishes sounded better. It was made very clear, no substitutions.
